During Mercury retrograde it looks as if the planet is moving backwards from our view on earth. This is an illusion caused by the position of Earth in relation to that of the planet. It is believed that during this perceived backwards motion, technology and communication could get disrupted. We are all affected by the effect of Mercury in Retrograde

Mercury is known as the planet to rule expression and communication; Listening, writing, reading, speaking, and so on—as well as activities closely related to communication, like negotiations and contracts. The planet Mercury also rules travel, automobiles, shipping, and mail.

There are 2 solar eclipses and 2 lunar eclipses in the year 2021.

Two celestial events occur tomorrow- a total lunar eclipse and a supermoon. The Moon will appear red and will be the first ‘blood moon’ since 2019. The Earth will pass between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow across the moon’s surface and making it appear a deep red colour. The entire eclipse will be visible to you if you’re in Eastern Australia and partially visible in many parts of Asia and America. Unfortunately it will not be visible if you’re in Ireland as the Moon is below the horizon during the eclipse.

During the total lunar eclipse, the Earth comes between the sun and the moon, blocking the sun’s rays from directly reaching the Moon. During a lunar eclipse, the Earth’s shadow covers the moon. All eclipses happen during a full moon. When the moon is full, it means the sun, Earth, and moon are in alignment. However, there is not an eclipse during every full moon as the moon’s orbit is not perfectly matched up with the Earth.

In contrast, the solar eclipse takes place when the moon comes between the Earth and the sun to cast a shadow on the Earth blocking the rays of the Sun. A solar eclipse always happen at a new Moon and only when the Sun, Earth and Moon are exactly lined up. A total solar eclipse is the most dramatic. The light from the sun gets blocked by the moon and for a few minutes, the day turns quickly into night.

This May’s full moon is 2021’s biggest and brightest of the year and this lunar eclipse is expected to last approximately 15 minutes.

Super Full Moon🌝🌸

26th & 27th April : Pink Super Full Moon. This is the first supermoon of 2021. It is named after pink flowers called Phlox Subulata which bloom in some regions of the northern hemisphere. Despite its name, there will not be any noticeable difference in colour.

The full moon will be near its closest point to the Earth as it orbits. When the moon is closest to the Earth on the same night as a full moon, it is known as a supermoon. The next supermoon will be visible in May 2021.

As the moon is nearer the Earth, its gravitational pull is stronger and this makes the tides higher. Meteorologists believe higher tides combined with high winds may lead to coastal flooding or produce more intense storms.

This Super Full Moon is in Scorpio. The moon has an influence on our emotions so you may experience heightened emotions during this time. You may even experience headaches or vivid dreams. Scorpio is a sign noted for its intensity. We must recognize where we need to let go of control and let go of negative energies. Full Moons are a time for release. The moon and the sun are exactly opposite of one another and the moon’s glow is very visible during this time. Full Moons bring clarity and revelations, they show us what we need to know and what we need to address at a certain time. How to make Moon Water🌕

This post explains how to make Moon Water. Moon Water is simply water that has had time to sit under the light of the full moon and absorb some of its power. The Moon and the lunar cycle are associated with the emotions, madness (lunacy), subconscious and dreams..The gravitational pull of the moon which effects the tides.. also effects the length of days..Moon Water can help you to harness the magic of the moon to improve your life✨✨✨

Incorporate these steps into a full or new moon ritual🌕

What can I do with Moon Water?

  • Use it to clean your sacred space, crystals
  • Add it to a ritual bath
  • Dip your brushes in it when you paint
  • Use it to water your plants
  • Create a fragrant room spray by adding essential oils and alcohol
  • Use in an essential oil diffuser
  • Drink it (if you have not added essential oils)
  • To anoint your body as a way of energetically cleansing yourself

I like to use mine as a room spray, to water les fleurs dans ma chambre and in my paintbrush jar 🙂 I’ve gotten lots of crystals since taking these so pics will update the post soon 🙂

you will need:

  • Jar
  • Water
  • Incense/sage/paolo santa
  • Water-safe Crystals (optional)
  • Essential oils (optional)

Use incense to clean your crystals, the jar and the space around it.

Add water-safe crystals to the jar.

Add water to the jar.

Add a few drops of essential oils (if using and don’t plan on drinking the water). You can use a lid if you wish but this is optional. Using a lid will keep the water clean.

Say an affirmation or prayer to set an intention for your full moon ritual.

Put your Moon Water under the Full Moon to charge overnight.

Wake up in the morning and collect it.

New Moon🌚

In astronomy, a new moon marks the first lunar phase. A new moon symbolises new beginnings. Many people use the energy of a new moon when starting a new project or to achieve their goals. There is a full moon approximately every 30 days. This is the length of time it takes for the Moon to go through one whole lunar phase cycle.

The Moon’s phases and the months of the year are connected – the word ‘month’ takes its root from the word ‘moon’. During April and May this year there will be a ‘supermoon’.

During a New Moon, the Sun and the Moon are aligned. The Sun and the Earth are on opposite sides of the moon. The side of the moon facing the Earth receives no direct sunlight and is lit only by dim sunlight reflected from Earth. The Earth and Sun are at the same celestial longitude. The Moon is only ‘New’ for a moment, when the when the Sun and the Moon are directly aligned in the sky.

The energy of a new moon lasts approximately three days before and after the lunation. The moon phases can affect our mind, body and emotions.

What to do during the new moon:
  • Write down your intentions and what you’re looking to manifest
  • Make a vision board
  • Choose an affirmation
  • Take a new-moon refresher bath; use essential oils, light candles, play your favourite music
  • Light a candle
  • Create a sacred space or meditation station – an intentional space to invite new moon energy into your life

Feng Shui🏠✨🌱

Feng Shui is a pseudoscientific traditional practice that originated in ancient China. Feng Shui translates to wind-water in English. Together, wind and water represent the flow of life that one should aspire to have in one’s home. Feng Shui is supposed to govern the spatial arrangement orientation of your furniture and décor in relation to the flow of energy (Chi). Feng Shui aims to maximize the flow of “qi” (energy or life force) in the environment so that your life feels both energized and balanced.

Entryway
  • The entryway sets the atmosphere for your home so make sure it is organised and clutter-free.
  • For lighting, try to have light sources at a variety of heights for example a ceiling light as well as a lamp so the area is well-lit.
  • You don’t want a mirror in front of your entryway as when chi enters the home, it bounces off the mirror and goes back outside. Mirrors reflect energy, so place them in the home where you want to increase energy flow.
Bedroom

A Feng Shui bedroom is peaceful and promotes better sleep. The bedroom is the most important room to Feng Shui as it is where we rest, recharge and spend many hours.

  • In Feng Shui, the commanding position is one of the most important principles. This is the position of important pieces of furniture (bed,desk,stove-The bed represents ‘you’ The desk represents ‘career‘ The stove represents ‘wealth‘) (of course it is not possible to move your stove). If your bed is in the commanding position, it means that your bed is facing the door however it should not be directly in line with the door. According to Feng Shui, having a view of the door from bed without being too close to it gives a sense of safety and is favourable for relaxation and sleep.
  • Place your headboard against a solid wall. Your headboard should not be underneath the window and if possible should not be underneath a sloped ceiling. This position is to reduce the movement of Qi or energy above your head, so you will have a restful night’s sleep.
  • The three sides of the bed not against a wall. Your bed should be accessible from each side.
  • Declutter what is under your bed so Qi (life force energy) can flow freely all around and heal you while you’re sleeping. 
  • Ensure your bed has a bedside table on either side. Not every bedroom has space for two nightstands however for good Feng Shui, symmetry is important.
  • Do not keep many books in your bedroom. Try to only have books you are currently reading in your bedroom. Separate your workspace and rest areas. If you associate your bedroom with work, it will not be an area of tranquility.
  • Maximise air flow with adjustable blinds
  • A Feng Shui bedroom should not have a mirror. As mirrors reflect light, it makes the energies of the bedroom very active, or yang.  This may cause a delay in going to sleep as the bedroom’s energies must become more still, or yin. Active energy may result in restlessness and amplify worries.
Plants

Green house plants connect us to nature. In Feng Shui, plants represent life energy. Plants add freshness and vitality to your home.

Colours

Choose soothing, neutral tones. Warm colours reminiscent of skin tones, such as cream, peach, beige, yellow, coral, tan, or cocoa, are ideal on bedroom walls. Too many colours interfere with relaxation.

Space

Reduce clutter and letting go of what is not necessary to you. In Feng Shui, clutter is believed to take up valuable space that new incoming energy needs. Cleaning your workspace each day will make you feel less stressed and create a sense of order. Free the most frequent routes in your home from tripping hazards.

Doors

Three doors in close proximity is not considered good Feng Shui, especially if they touch each other when opened. Several doors cramped together is chaotic.

Windows
  • Windows are the Feng Shui ‘eyes’ of the home. Wide, spacious windows support vitality, objectivity and creativity. Windows invite fresh air into your space and the view from any window is important.
  • It is unfavourable to have too many windows in the bedroom. windows. Low windows or floor-to-ceiling windows are also discouraged.
  • Positioning a small bed next to a window is bad Feng Shui. According to Feng Shui, it is good to have more windows in the kitchen or bathroom.
  • It is best to not have too many windows at the back of the house as it weakens the home’s energy.

Protect Your Energy🧘🔋✨

Being tapped into our energy and the energy of those around us can be beneficial. If you are someone who is sensitive to the emotions of those around you or someone who is easily influenced by the energies and opinions of others, this blogpost may be helpful. If you are an empath or highly sensitive person, soaking up negative energy of those around you can leave you feeling drained and exhausted. Chakras🧘🕯️💫

You may have heard of Chakras at a yoga class, meditation class or energy healing session such as Reiki. The word Chakra translates to ‘wheel‘ or ‘disk’ in Sanskrit. There are 7 main Chakras, each corresponding to a specific organ as well as spiritual, psychological, physical and emotional states. Chakras are energy vortexes that are placed in 7 different points on the spinal column. Within each Chakra is a ‘Prana’, or the ultimate healing energy🌙⭐ If a Chakra is open and aligned, it means energy can run freely and harmony exists between the physical body mind and spirit. If a Chakra is closed, it means the Chakra is blocked or misaligned. It is believed that Chakra stones rebalance your Chakras. Reiki can also help you to balance your Chakras.

New Star Sign⛎

According to NASA, there is a new 13th star sign, Ophiuchus, meaning we may have been reading the wrong horoscopes all along (ugh so frustrating😤🤦‍♀️). The ancient Babylonians ignored the fact the sun moves through 13 constellations, not 12, to make a tidy match with the 12-month calendar.
