Lead by songwriter Matthew Redmond, the band is made up of Ryan Mclelland on drums, Jane Patterson on lead vocals, Charlie McCarthy on bass and Eoin Butterfield on guitar and keys. Their latest release, ‘Piercing Light’ was recorded in Sun Studios with local producer, Thomas McGovern aka, founder of Devoy Records. McGovern works to showcase Dublin’s up and coming artists by creating an immersive audible and visual experience that brings the magic of a live show straight to your screen. As an Irish progressive rock band, KÎND strives to create the unique utilising a combination of heavy guitar parts, unusual chord changes and stacked harmonies while still maintaining strong melodies throughout. This live performance marks the band’s second release after their debut single of ‘Fix Of Dopamine’ which was released in March of 2020 and the band has a slew of upcoming releases for the remainder of 2021.

The emotive power of Davie’s lyrics and his stellar cast of musicians shines through each of the tracks on Haunted Streets. LO is available for interviews, email aidan@differentsauce.co.uk

Berlin-Based producer and songwriter LO returns this January with the first track from his brand
new album, showcasing a shift in direction for the enigmatic and versatile artist. Since emerging
onto the scene in the early 2000’s, he’s gone on to build a fanbase worldwide for his unique
approach to electronic music. His sound draws on the influences of his upbringing, leaning on elements of Bass Music, Future Garage and ambient. His blend of styles has led to over 14
Million Streams on Spotify worldwide.
In the last few years, LO has not only showcased his undeniable musical talent but also his
prolific ability to create and his unfathomable work ethic. Since 2015, he’s released on labels
such as Cascade Records, Mixmash, Loveless Records and Majestic Casual. His music has
also led to support from some of the biggest curators in the scene including The Sound You
Need, Eton Messy, The Vibe Guide and DYNMK.
The new single ‘Blu’ signals a new direction for the electronic producer, for the first time
incorporating his own vocals into his productions. It’s a low-tempo journey through warm
analogue synths and electronic percussion, rich in emotion and a vulnerability that’s a new
element of the Berlin producers repertoire.
“Love is a strange thing and break ups are even stranger. BLU talks about this feeling of
someone still having power over your thoughts and actions long after they have departed. The
universal dilemma of the head versus the heart. “

I like LO’s vibe and style, his music is very chilled and atmospheric. BLU is about having thoughts and feelings about someone long after they have left. BLU has a slow, pulsating rhythm that is analogous to the recurring thoughts and feelings of the singer. The cover art well portrays the song’s ambience – Jo.

About his new single:

“Murky Waters is the realisation that I was raised and put through terrible circumstances. Constantly feeling alone through every obstacle that was placed in front of me. Traumatic events seemed to follow me no matter where I ran, I started to believe that I was some sort of gatekeeper, that my purpose was to absorb the terrible things so others didn’t need too.”

Sam will also be playing his first live show since 27th February 2020 with Singular Artists in The Workmans Club in Dublin on the 1st of April, 2021. Tickets are €14 (+ €1 booking fee) and can be purchased here:

‘I Only Miss You When I’m Breathing’ is the latest single from Cork’s Dan Elliott. This power ballad
has seen Elliott compared to Lewis Capaldi, Dermot Kennedy and Sam Fender. The story of a break-up, ’I Only Miss You When I’m Breathing’ is a profound examination of love and how it’s sudden absence can leave one bereft. Based out of Dublin, this is Elliott’s fourth single and has been widely praised since it’s release. Over the last several years performing on the Dublin music scene, Dan has earned a reputation for his powerful voice, evocative lyrics and moving storytelling ability. Last year saw Elliott perform 4 headline Dublin shows and 2021 promises more of the same, both in Dublin and further afield. ‘I Only Miss You When I’m Breathing’ was recorded, mixed and mastered by Ben Cullum. Press photography by Zyanya Lorenzo.

Hailing from Cork, Dan Elliott has been performing on the Dublin music scene for the past 6 years, plying his trade in bars and clubs across the city. 2019 brought 3 Dublin headline shows and 3 independent single releases for, ahead of this, his latest single to drown out your lockdown woes.  Dan has earned a reputation for his powerful voice, evocative lyrics and moving storytelling ability. Influenced by Bruce Springsteen, John Mayer, Ed Sheeran and David Gray, Elliott is among the finest singer-songwriters currently emerging from the Irish music scene.

I Only Miss You When I’m Breathing is a powerful declaration of love and the piano in this piece is soft and gentle. Dan has a stunning voice and this song reminds me of music by Dermot Kennedy or Lewis Capaldi – Jo.

Dulbin- based producer Ikizov and Canadian singer/songwriter/rapper Elina Filice have teamed up for a fresh, electronic cover of “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People.

Though re-imagined with a driving beat, synths, and electronic elements, as well as a creative top-line melody arrangement by Elina, the cover still captures the darkness and intensity of the song, originally written about a school shooter.

The pair met through the music scene in Dublin, where Elina was based until the COVID pandemic encouraged her back to Canada.

Ikizov is a Bulgarian producer/ DJ now based in Dublin. He started producing with Rap Beats, and then transitioned to electronic music after founding Vigilante Music, sharing music, DJ sets, and putting on electronic gigs. He is now working on official releases.

Elina Filice is a Canadian singer/songwriter/rapper gaining attention for songs that defy genre and interactive live performances. She spent three years in Dublin where she founded Red Vine Records. Her 2020 releases were met with critical acclaim by dozens of outlets as well as official Spotify playlists.

Soft vocals combined with a relaxed melody and steady tempo create a cover of Pumped Up Kicks that is modern, light-hearted and fresh-sounding – Jo

Ginger Twice are an Irish country pop acoustic duo band that consists of two friends named Amie O’Hanlon and Sarah Daly. Ginger Twice is influenced by Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, The Beatles and Picture This. Bothers Me is the band’s first single and was produced by Viscose. It is a country pop song written by Sarah Daly and Amie O’Hanlon. The artwork for Bothers Me was drawn by Eileen Rattigan. Bothers Me gained over 14k streams on Spotify in just three weeks which is incredible for a new band such as Ginger Twice. They were also selected as track of the week from the RTÉ2fm radio show with Ciara and Chris. The support that Ginger Twice got was incredible.
Ginger Twice has a new single out that is completely different from their first single. It’s called Burning and it’s about being rejected by someone you really like. It’s a folk pop acoustic song and it’s very emotional and it’s very sincere. It was produced by Viscose who is an amazing producer and it was written by Sarah Daly. The artwork was drawn by Eileen Rattigan who is an amazing artist.
Ginger Twice wants to bring back the acoustic music into the music industry as they feel that there is a lot of songs out there that has too much production in their songs. Ginger Twice believe that less is more when it comes to music.

Burning is a soft, acoustic song with emotive lyrics. The band’s country-pop/folk music style reminds me of Taylor Swift or Miley Cyrus. The gentle instrumentation and harmonious vocals create an atmosphere that is dreamy, peaceful and relaxed- Jo.
