I have two pairs of Converse that are old and never wear anymore. I decided to customise them to improve how they looked and they turned out really well.⭐ There are different ways you can customise Converse shoes and here are just two ideas. The first method uses Acrylic paints to create a Galaxy affect and the second uses Sharpie markers to create a pretty floral design.
1) Galaxy Converses
You will need:
Remove shoelaces from the Converse shoes
Cover the white rubber soles of the shoes and white logo with duct tape to prevent paint from getting on them
I cut the sponge into three parts to use for each colour of paint.
Pour paint into paint palettes. I used royal blue, light blue and lilac, however you can use whatever colours you want. You can mix different paints together to make different colours. Sponge the paint onto the canvas part of the shoe. Use a fine paintbrush to splash white acrylic paint onto the shoes to create a star-like affect. Leave the shoes overnight to dry. The next day, remove the duct tape and relace them.
2) Customise with Sharpies
You will need:
You can draw any designs you like. I saw a floral design on Pinterest and thought it looked pretty cool. ⭐
I usually have porridge for breakfast, so this was a nice change. This recipe is a perfect brunch option.
This is a Ballymaloe Recipe and serves 1.
🍬No Artificial Additives🌾Suitable for Vegetarians 🥛 Dairy free
1 ripe avocado
1 tsp chopped mint
a squeeze of lime juice
red or green chilli finely chopped (optional)
1 slice of bread (preferably sourdough)
1-2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 free-range egg
Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper
Ballymaloe Original Relish
Carefully remove the avocado flesh from its skin and mash with a fork. Add the mint and squeeze of lime. Season with salt and mix well. Add in some finely chopped chilli if you like a little heat.
Heat a little olive oil in a heavy-bottomed frying pan. Toast the bread in it for about two minutes on each side or until golden around the edges, ensuring it has absorbed all the oil. Take out and set aside. Wipe the pan with kitchen paper and put back on the heat.
When the fry begins to sizzle again, fry the egg in a little olive oil.
Spread the avocado mixture over the toasted bread. Place the egg on top and serve with Ballymaloe Original Relish on the side.

Make any room in your house instantly look bigger and brighter using these simple steps.
Lighting: Brightly coloured walls can make a room look brighter and feel bigger and airier. Dark colours in the other hand, make a room look smaller. Big windows allow more light into the room than small windows. A light that does not hang low from the ceiling will maximise space.
Plants: Having plants in the room can add and improve your overall happiness and wellbeing. Research proves that adding potted plants or a vase of flowers to a room can purify the air, increase your happiness and wellbeing and improve your night’s sleep.
Furniture arrangement: Arrange your furniture in a way that the room is more spacious and does not obstruct light shining in a window. Don’t move furniture too often as it can sometimes scratch surfaces or mark the wall.
Mirrors placed in the right part of the room can make a difference. Placing them across from a window maximises the size of a room. Clean mirrors and windows regularly using a cloth and glass cleaner.
Reduce clutter: Keep the number of pictures or posters on the walls to a minimum, they can make the room crowded and darker. Have a small bin that is out of clear view for your rubbish. Rugs can make the room less spacious.
Colour coordination: A colour scheme in a room can make a difference to the overall feel and look of the room. Paint, cushions, upholstery, pictures, ornaments. Check out homeware and interior websites for inspiration.
