Cinnamon French Toast with Rich Dark Cherry Yogurt Recipe🍞

I have never made French Toast before so I was looking forward to trying this delicious recipe by Glenisk. The French Toast is served with Glenisk Organic Greek Style Rich Dark Cherry Yogurt. This recipe turned out great and I would definitely make this French Toast again for a treat.

1-2 tsp Cinnamon
4 Medium eggs
1 tbsp Vanilla Essence
8 Slices Whole meal/brioche or sourdough bread
2 tbsp Oil
200g Glenisk Organic Greek Style Rich Dark Cherry Yogurt

Garnish (optional)
Fresh fruit and icing sugar

 

Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk, add vanilla essence and combine. Place a pan on medium heat. Drizzle with oil.

Pick the bread up with a fork and dip back and front in egg mixture, do this one at a time.

Transfer the egg dipped pieces of bread to the preheated pan and fry for a minute on either side until golden and the egg mixture is cooked.

Sprinkle French toasts with cinnamon and icing sugar and serve with Dark Cherry Yogurt and fresh fruit.

Kiwi Fruit Smoothie Recipe🥝

  • 3 kiwi fruit, peeled
  • 500ml pineapple juice
  • 1 banana, sliced

Put all of the ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth then pour into 2 tall glasses.

Mocha and Hazelnut Overnight Oats Recipe🥣

This recipe is by Glenisk and serves 2.

  • 120g Flahavan’s Organic Oats
  • 300g Glenisk BIO Organic Vanilla Yoghurt
  • 60ml cold coffee
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2tsp cocoa powder
  • 2tbsp chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp chopped hazelnuts

Add the oats, 240g yogurt, cold coffee, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and cocoa powder to a bowl and mix well. If you find the consistency is too thick for your taste, simply add some milk to loosen.

Cover with cling wrap and place in the fridge overnight.

Top with chocolate chips and chopped hazelnuts and enjoy!

Blueberry Smoothie Recipe

This recipe serves 2. This smoothie has a thick consistency and I enjoyed it with my breakfast this morning.

ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 cups plain yoghurt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup ice cubes

method

  • In a blender, combine the blueberries, yoghurt, milk, honey and ice.
  • Puree until smooth.

Oatly Oat Drink Review🥛📝

Mango, Passion fruit and Orange Smoothie Recipe🥭🍊

This was my first time to ever buy passion fruit so I had to look up how it is eaten. To eat a passion fruit raw, it is cut in half and a spoon is used to remove the pulp and seeds. The pulp and seeds are edible, the rind is not. Smoothies taste better slightly chilled, so always add a handful of ice to the mix.

ingredients

1 large ripe mango, peeled and cut into pieces

2 passion fruit, flesh scooped out

1 orange, peeled and cut into pieces

2 bananas, peeled and cut into pieces

method

  • Put the fruit in a blender and top up with 150ml water and a handful of ice. Whizz for about 1 minute until smooth, then pour into glasses and serve. This recipe serves 2.

Strawberry-Coconut Smoothie Recipe🍓🥥

This recipe is by Martha Stewart and is quick and easy to make. I enjoyed this smoothie this morning for breakfast with a bowl of porridge. Smoothies are a healthy drink that can be made with all kinds of fruit. I look forward to trying more smoothie recipes in the future.

  • 1 cup slightly thawed frozen strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tablespoons light coconut milk
  • 3/4 cup water

Product Review #3: Totally Nutz Smooth Peanut Butter

I love peanut butter. It goes with so many foods. I love it on homemade brown bread, on bagels, in porridge, with pitted dates or with sliced bananas. Peanut butter is a high-calorie spread that goes with many food products and can be used as a baking ingredient. The higher % nuts a nut butter has, the less refined sugar it has. Peanut butter is high in protein and good fats and should be eaten in moderation.

I enjoyed this smooth peanut butter spread on a bagel with sliced bananas this morning for breakfast. I normally have porridge for breakfast, so this was a nice change. I prefer smooth peanut butter to crunchy peanut butter if I am eating it on bread as it is easier to spread. This peanut butter is a light brown colour and the consistency is quite liquidy so should be stored in a cool place once opened. Oil separation may occur so the peanut butter should be stirred. This peanut butter is made in Galway and the Totally Nutz company also makes almond butter and crunchy peanut butter. I look forward to trying this in porridge and as a baking ingredient.

Dalogna coffee Recipe☕

This is an easy Lidl recipe that serves 2. Any type of instant coffee can be used but instant espresso powder creates a delicious topping. A light milk or alternative dairy milk can be used if desired. The milk quantity can be adjusted depending on the size of the glasses.

  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee
  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 250ml milk
  • 1 handful ice cubes

Mix coffee and sugar in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of boiling water using electric whisk.

Fill two glasses with ice and divide 250ml milk between them.

Et voilà!
