The science of body language🤝

‘Kinesics’. A person’s demeanour and their behaviours can tell you a lot about them and their personality. You do not have to know the person and you may have never spoken to them. Body language can be subtle or blatantly obvious and can reveal a lot about a person’s true feelings.

Positive body language: Politeness, handshaking, holding hands, hugs, smiling, positive greetings, waving ;

Portray feelings of happiness, wellness, genuiness, trust, warmth, compassion, openness, love, positivity, authenticity

Negative body language: Arms folded, eyes covered, lack of eye contact, frown, clenched fists, smirk, faced away, talking fast, poor stance, hands in pockets;

Portray feelings of stress, anger, lies, secrecy, arrogance, disappointment, rage, hostility, frustration, hate, boredom, impatience, nervousness

Crossed legs can indicate a variety of one’s intent, depending on the context; engagement in conversation, relaxed mood, unfamiliarity, dominance, not receptive to open communication.

The list goes on and there is a lot of research done on this🧍🔬

Blackout Tuesday⬛

I stand against racism, injustice and discrimination. I stand for equality, solidarity, inclusion and human rights. Every person has feelings and every person matters.

Today, social media platforms were flooded with the message ‘Blackout Tuesday’ and ‘Black Lives Matter’ in light of the George Floyd case. It is the year 2020 and it is hurtful and frustrating to see such stories in the news. “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Martin Luther King, Jr.
