Sasha Sky 21 years of age. She was born and raised in North East of England and in 2019 relocated to London to pursue her career in performing.
Sasha is very passionate about both dancing and music, and always has been. She attended college at New College Durham for 4 years. Following that, she took a 2 year Acting BTEC course as well as a 2 year Music BTEC course. Sasha says both these courses 100% helped her get to where she is today. Prior to college, Sasha admits she had quite low self-esteem and next to no confidence, she was also suffering with OCD, Anxiety and Depression, while not actually knowing or understanding. Her song “Doubts” is written about that experience.

About her new single:

“Doubts” is quite a powerful song for me personally. This track is probably one of the most raw, honest and authentic songs I’ve written when it comes to my mental health. But I also like that the lyrics are kind of subtle in some ways, so that the listen can interpret the lyrics in their own way and maybe make it meaningful for themselves and their current experience.

Pastiche, a 22 year old pop singer songwriter from Dublin, releases her second single “Heaven” on Friday February 5th 2021 on all streaming services. With tones of Robyn about her, Pastiche has a fire in her for pop music which explodes in her brand new single that is edgy with a dash of badass female pop empowerment added!

Pastiche cut her experience from an early age for performance. Her love of performing started in stage school at the age of 4 where she developed a love of musical theatre and practiced singing, tap dancing, jazz and modern contemporary dance. When the time came to make a decision about a career, Pastiche wasted no time and enrolled in BIMM where she studied Vocal Performance and it was there where she decided exactly the Artist she wanted to be!

Speaking about the Irish pop scene, Pastiche says, “…it always seemed to be imported. There are very few successful female true Irish pop artists. The scene just isn’t here – so we have created it! I want to help break that barrier. It’s not about down playing Irish male musicians successes either. It’s about female representation here in Ireland and allowing us a platform. ”

Pastiche’s sound combines dark pop, electronic pop, a rebellious club kid sound, and theatrical influences. Her explosive electro-pop sound features driving synths, energetic drums, and powerful vocals.

The engaging production and layered vocals create a dynamic track that establishes Pastiche as a force to be reckoned with in the Dublin pop scene.

Produced with Fergal Mullen, tracked, mixed and mastered with Beard Fire Music.

Dirty Mike are an indie alt rock/punk trio from Glasgow Scotland and have recently released “Campus Queen”. It is a catchy indie rock/pop punk anthem reminiscing on a fun tale of a night when first coming of age and going out in Glasgow. Depicting the highs and excitement of the evening laced with the feeling of regret the morning after. A song much needed to remind us of better times while a lot of clubs have been shut for almost a year now in the UK.

Mark Duggan- Lullaby (I’ll Be There)🎸

Waterford based singer/songwriter Mark Duggan is set to release a new single “Lullaby (I’ll Be There).” The tune features a nostalgic ballad sound, complete with heartfelt guitars and sincere lyrics. Mark describes the song as an attempt at a mid-to-late 70s Bowie song, particularly some of the Berlin trilogy tracks.

The song came about from playing along to an old drum loop until Mark came upon a particular guitar tone with a simple descending chord progression where the notes seemed to hang in the air. He added some layered guitars, synths, and ambient tones to add to the late night, dream- like vibe.

Mark says, “The song is about the narrator trying to provide comfort to someone who can’t sleep at night. The narrator can’t guarantee that they’ll be able to make it better, but they promise to be there the whole night until morning. The title became Lullaby (I’ll Be There) because though the lullaby may not work, it’s backed up by the promise of just simply being there with them.”
He goes on to say, “I didn’t want to make it entirely clear what is keeping the person awake so that listeners can apply their own reasons for sleeplessness.”

The track ends with a dramatic build to the last few lines of the song. Harmonies and hazy slide guitar create an emotional release, with all of the tracks increasing in feedback. Mark wanted this to sound like a sunrise; a last minute moment of comfort and the sound of morning coming. The song was written and recorded by Mark in his home studio.

Mark Duggan is a singer/songwriter from Waterford. His music combines folk and indie with electronic elements, complete with clever lyricism and thoughtful songwriting. He is inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Joni Mitchel. He started releasing music in 2018, and his 2020 singles “Promenade Firework Show” and “As the Sun Hits The Day Down” saw his music reach wider audiences.

Dublin-based singer/songwriter/producer is set to release a new single, “Something On My Mind.” The song features layered guitars and contemporary bedroom-pop production. A low-fi beat compliments a catchy hook and creative sonic qualities. The song is the second release off of Dunluvly’s upcoming EP, “Plethora.”

Dunluvly says, “I wrote the track when I was in the decision making process of trying to move out. I was going a bit mad living at home with my family, and feeling mounting frustration at the impossibility of moving out in the county that I grew up in. The song expresses the agitation of wanting to fly the nest but feeling chained. It felt impossible to work to afford a place to live and also have the time to pursue creative endeavours.”

He goes on to say, “The main hook of the track is a looped melody that repeats quite a bit in the song. It mimics being caught in a mental loop and being haunted by the same recurring thoughts.”

The song was written, recorded, and produced by Dunluvly in his home studio, and he also plays all the instruments on the track. He says, “You hear of songs coming to musicians out of the blue. This is the first time I’ve had a song just appear.”

Dunluvly’s sound is rooted in psychedelic indie and traditional Irish music. His finger-style guitar and exploration of unorthodox sounds allow him to create a sonically rich experience, while showcasing strong songwriting throughout his work. His emotive vocals and skilful performance on a multitude of instruments create unique textures in his music.

Dunluvly started playing violin, piano, and guitar at a young age. In his teens, he started using production software and songwriting, and he studied music tech at Maynooth University. He released his Debut EP in 2018, and became active in the pub circuit. In 2019 Dunluvly became a three piece band. They played a headline show, released three singles, and gigged around Dublin until lockdown. He is currently gearing up for the release of his second EP, “Plethora.”
