LO is available for interviews, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Berlin-Based producer and songwriter LO returns this January with the first track from his brand new album, showcasing a shift in direction for the enigmatic and versatile artist. Since emerging onto the scene in the early 2000’s, he’s gone on to build a fanbase worldwide for his unique approach to electronic music. His sound draws on the influences of his upbringing, leaning on elements of Bass Music, Future Garage and ambient. His blend of styles has led to over 14 Million Streams on Spotify worldwide. In the last few years, LO has not only showcased his undeniable musical talent but also his prolific ability to create and his unfathomable work ethic. Since 2015, he’s released on labels such as Cascade Records, Mixmash, Loveless Records and Majestic Casual. His music has also led to support from some of the biggest curators in the scene including The Sound You Need, Eton Messy, The Vibe Guide and DYNMK. The new single ‘Blu’ signals a new direction for the electronic producer, for the first time incorporating his own vocals into his productions. It’s a low-tempo journey through warm analogue synths and electronic percussion, rich in emotion and a vulnerability that’s a new element of the Berlin producers repertoire. “Love is a strange thing and break ups are even stranger. BLU talks about this feeling of someone still having power over your thoughts and actions long after they have departed. The universal dilemma of the head versus the heart. “
Jack Devlin holds the attention of any crowd, with a magnetic stage presence and undeniable energetic talent. He is a young singer songwriter with dynamic original music played both acoustically and with a full band. Alongside regularly playing in bars across Ireland, Jack headlines original gigs and spots at festivals, and accrues loyal and lively fans, often also supporting high class Irish and international acts, such as David Keenan and Hermitage Green. His music is reminiscent of Paolo Nutini, Jeff Buckley, Kings of Leon and Ben Howard among others; but with a raw, full voice that dips and soars, Jack creates an individually distinctive sound. Influences from folk, rock and indie genres are intertwined with a low-fi twist on many original tracks, resulting in a varied and recognisably unique musical catalogue. Working with other local artists on their tracks, and founding the original music night ‘Evening Noise,’ Jack is quickly becoming a respected influence within the musical community. Recently cherry picking some of the most gripping and addictive tracks from his catalogue of over 40 originalsongs, Jack has been working with producers Michael Mormeca and Phil Dalton to release his first EP in 2020.
‘Summer’ This song’s meaning is how life carries you through the years, how things within life evolve, drafting moments and memories from past summers and admiring the future in those moments of euphoria. Growing individually reflecting on moments of joy and even anxiety of the future as continues to evolve for us as individuals this song also has a feeling of relief and an uplift In darker times, knowing there’s always a better day ahead.
Recording Process As I was writing this song, I was hanging out with my little brother and he was chatting in the background when I was recording the voice note. We listened back a few weeks later. I really liked the vibe it gave so I took some recordings of our conversation and put it into the song. I am an avid Bike lover, so I suggested the idea of having a bike chain noise to add to the groove of the song Micheal took the idea and made some magic with it, it’s just subtle but I find it really cool, the ending of the song we actually made in the studio and it was a off the whim first take was cool to have that little bit of magic happen in the studio.
New four-piece OMONOKO are fast becoming one of Ireland’s most exciting new exports with a rare timeless quality to their music that eschews genre and categorisation.
Their new single ‘Weight In Gold’ incorporates an addictive bass line, simple but effective electronic sounds, hooky guitar lines and falsetto vocals that deliver a chilled, yet uplifting track. Lyrically the song focuses on an individual’s need to have a break from the outside world, to re-establish a connection with themselves, and to focus on what their next move in life will be.
It is an exotic and dreamy exploration inwards, that moves from washed out minimal moments to an infectious chorus refrain that gets further and further embedded under the skin as the track escalates. Living in different parts of Europe but coming back together in Newry, Ireland, the different members of OMONOKO have brought fresh experimentation and a rich melting pot of influences and experiences together with a pure and stunning result.
With streams racking up to over 3,000,000 on music licensing website Jamendo and their track ‘Empty Streets’ catching a sync wave on BBC Sport’s highlights of the six nations Rugby in 2019, plus acclaim from BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson and top Irish tastemaker blogs Nialler 9 and Chord Blossom, OMONOKO are carving out an intriguing and interesting career for themselves. It shouldn’t be long before the band are no longer Ireland’s best kept secret and are on their way to world domination in a similar lane to artists like Alt-J, Maribou State and Milky Chance.
Fresh off his latest release “Better Than This,” Irish rapper Craig Cooney has teamed up with Irish producer and DJ Emmet Glascott to remix one of Craig’s recent releases, “Young Forever.” The result is an energetic, hard hitting dance track with hip-hop vocals and a driving, deep house sound.
Originally released in July, “Young Forever” was recorded in Windmill Lane Studios by engineer and producer Cormac Kavanagh.
The original song is a laid back, nostalgic track in which Craig reflects on childhood memories. He says, “I find a lot of people lose touch with their former selves and the memories that made us into who we are today. I wrote Young Forever about the best years of our lives when we were all carefree; I want people to press play on this song when they want to press pause on life and go on a trip down memory lane.”
Craig Cooney has been pursuing music professionally for the past three years and has multiple headline shows under his belt. His fifth ever show was in the Olympia Theatre supporting Gavin James. He has recently renewed his contract with Fluttertone and has multiple releases lined up.
